Experience: 5 – 10 years

Job Description:

• Responsible to design product feature testing requirements, write and maintain associated test plans at the integration, functional and system integration testing levels, execute their tests and report results.
• Responsible to develop and debug the automation scripts in python.
• As defects are found, this position will create defect reports, maintain and track the defect through resolution; retesting and verification.
• This position will also support other QA and Knowledge Engineering responsibilities as assigned.

Skill set:

• Must have experience in Python
• Must have an experience in automation testing.
• Must have experience in embedded software and DTV domains are preferred.
• Should have experience in Agile Methodology.
• Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal communication and coaching skills.

We are looking for Headend Engineer with Expertise in setting up CI, writing scripts using Javascript/ Python/Java/Ruby to join our Technical team.

Experience: 6 – 8 years

Spec Knowledge:

• Encoding & Transcoding for Multiple Devices and Platforms
• Formats, Protocols, and Standards: HEVC, 4K, HDR, MPEG-DASH, HLS, and more
• Content Delivery, Networks, and Infrastructure, Content Protection & DRM
• Virtualisation, and the Cloud Technologies (Cloud Computing etc)
• Expertise in setting up CI, writing scripts using Javascript/ Python/Java/Ruby

Experience:

• 6-8 years' work experience in embedded software design/development
• Good practical knowledge and experience with the embedded software development, integration, debugging, test, configuration and maintenance processes with multiple parties
• Strong knowledge of embedded hardware systems, real-time & Linux operating systems
• Strong knowledge networking technologies
• Understanding of DVB and MPEG standards and specifications, interactive TV and STB architecture would be preferable
• Knowledge of Broadcast Value chain components and their interactions with the STB software stack
• SQLite an advantage
• Understanding of Satellite Tx/Rx Technical Competencies (List the key technical competencies)
• System/application architecture design and documentation
• Integration of STB software components based upon OpenTV, MHP and/or Irdeto Middleware technologies would be preferable
• Experience in MPEG and DVB standards, interactive TV and STB architecture would be preferable
• Evidence of successful completion of a relevant software engineering internship programme

Day to Day activities:

• Development of Tools or Scripts (using Python or C# or other language)to help the System Integration Activities
• Installation and configuration of HE components like VOD Delivery System,etc.
• Lab sever infrastructure maintenance and support to CFT's teams
• Installation and configuration of Vmware servers/VM's
• Installation and configuration of conditional access systems
• Generating vendor component BOM, acceptance criteria specification & build sign requests
• System and sub-system software integration of enterprise-wide decoder software solutions using internally created and/or off the shelf components
• Identifying, developing and maintaining of tools to automate, improve & support the SI line function
• Deployment planning and execution of plan
• Defect triage, engineering validation, technical recommendations (incl. approach & focus) & lifecycle management
• Makes recommendations of the integration products and services by carrying out proper researches
• Keeps a track on integration projects and ensure that they meet business requirements and goals
• Evaluating the results of the integration projects and preparing reports for the same
• driving the internal/external software vendors and communication the business needs and get things done
• Adherence to System Integration (SI) Strategies, Processes and Policies
